Friday, April 28, 2017 10:29pm

The first time Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Buddy Cannon received a song idea from Willie Nelson via a text message, it shocked him. The message was the beginning of what became “Roll Me Up,” a musical living will of sorts that ended up on Nelson’s 2012 album Heroes. “It’s the strangest thing I’ve ever done... Read more »

KCQ Country Music Fest Change of Schedule

98 KCQ has an artist update for the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Unfortunately, we received word from Jana Kramer’s management company that Jana has cancelled all of her shows across the country in May and June including her appearance at this year’s KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert. We can assure you that this is great disappointment to ourselves and perhaps to you. You will also see shortly her name appearing on billboards and our direct mail flyer coming to your home soon. We apologize that this has occurred but it is beyond our control. Rest assured that 98 KCQ is actively working on filling her spot in our concert line-up with another exciting new Nashville country artist and hope to have word to you soon on the name of who that artist will be! Keep listening to 98 KCQ and we’ll let you know as soon as we can!
